Great Grandmothers hunting pic 1900's
« on: October 07, 2013, 08:54:06 PM »
We have been updating our family history and my sister has been working on the genealogy aspects and getting pictures from family members.  I just had an uncle pass away and he had shoe boxes full of family pictures and there was a bunch of my great grandmother that I have never seen.  Found this great picture of her.

I called my sister to get some more.  My entire family used to be hard core hunters, so their should be some more great ones around.  I think I am now the last of the hunters in my family other than my son.  Maybe they all got smart and learned that it was less expensive to walk down to the store.  :dunno:

I used to do it with military surplus gear and before that it was jeans and rubber boots.  We would layer up with clothes and maybe throw a rain jacket on.  That was what we hunted in.  We came home when we were about froze, otherwise we stayed out and thought it was great.
